You're missing a few points Scott to really have an incredible profile on LinkedIn.

1. The Banner is you free ad. The old one really wasn't good, it was telling the world who you are. It should tell the world what you help with, what pain it solve. (the new one isn't really a linkedin banner!)

2. The Photo - remove the background, you definitely need one with your brand color as your background.

3. Headline - this is what most people see first when you post comments or posts. It's basically the very first thing they see. You just tell who you are and your wins. The first 45 characters are visible everywhere, make clear in the first 45 chars what you help with. They are to be focused on here not you.

4. Featured - a mistake you're making here is that you're adding text to the featured element. Don't do it. If you leave out the description (put it ON the image) they will need to click on the tiny link. If you leave out the description they will instantly land on your sales page.
