Here is a tip Ben Greenfield, one of the most popular fitness bloggers and podcasters, recommends for all of sitting all the time:

Never sit for longer than an hour without standing and doing fifty to a hundred jumping jacks, five doorway pull-ups, twenty push-ups or squats, or some other calisthenic movement.

Here’s an interesting list of 12 life skills to practice with children before they leave home. A good read, especially since our daughter Amelie is about to leave home soon. To be honest, I don’t think we have managed to teach her all of these skills. :-)
