Hi friends, here is your weekly dose of “Simply Good Life”, a newsletter that tries to make your day a little bit better and help you to grow personally and professionally. Enjoy!

Stop Negative Self-Talk

Right now, I am trying to better understand my internal self-talk. Why is so much of the internal self-talk negative? Is it possible to stop the negative self-talk?

This article can help you stop negative self-talk in 3 easy steps.

If you want to read even more about self-talk, read the great book “Untethered Soul” by Michael Singer with these fantastic quotes:

Your inner growth is completely dependent upon the realization that the only way to find peace and contentment is to stop thinking about yourself.

There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind — you are the one who hears it.

Your definitions of desirable and undesirable, as well as good and bad, all come about because you have defined how things need to be in order for you to be okay

In the article below, you’ll find the award winners of the International Landscape Photographer of the Year. These photographs will make you look differently at the planet we live on. I love so many of them, especially numbers 5, 14, and 17.

You Need to Have More Bad Ideas

I am in the middle of running a 5-day Innovation Champion Training with about 150 participants from India, Germany, Spain, France, South Africa, Pakistan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, etc. One of the concepts we teach in the training is the importance of creativity. We often struggle to come up with fresh ideas. We often tend to think that all the great ideas have been used up. Well, that’s not true. So, is there a way to find a good idea? Yes, by befriending your bad ideas. They’re your friends on the path to great ideas.

Thank you Andrea for sending me this article!

Quote I Love

When you’re thinking about making a decision, imagine you’re 80 years old and ask yourself if you regret not doing that thing. You want to live a life where you’ve minimized your regrets. — Jeff Bezos

Should I meet my friends more often or rather write another book? What is it that I will regret not doing when I am 80 years old?

This year I decided I want to talk to my friends all over the world more often…

Give me feedback, tell me what you like about this newsletter, tell me how I can make it even more valuable for you. Also, recommend this happiness newsletter to others by sending them this link: https://www.getrevue.co/profile/bdam.
