Hi all, this time I’ll tell you how to create the basis for a successful and happy life.

Path to Success — Lesson 1 — The Foundation

Let’s talk about the foundation to be more successful in life. Success isn’t just about how much money you make, it’s about being able to enjoy life.

You’ll only needs a few minutes a day doing something:

  1. Physical — Be in shape. Do some form of exercise every day (even if it’s only ten push-ups). Think about ASICS: “anima sana in corpore sano” which translates as “a healthy soul in a healthy body”.
  2. Emotional — Do something to be more positive, do something that lifts you up. See my previous newsletter about happiness.
  3. Mental — Make your brain sweat. Every day I write down ideas and learn languages. You will become a creativity machine quickly!
  4. Spiritual — meditate or learn how to stop your thoughts. Learn how to breathe to relax in just a few minutes (see below).

Whatever success means to you (money, heath, a marathon, a startup project) you need to focus on these four aspects. I promise following them will change how you see life and how people see you. Game changing.

How to Relax in 3 Minutes

Breathing is one of the most underrated ideas with a gigantic influence on our lives. Breathing not only can reduce stress if done correctly but if done in a wrong way can be the reason for several health issues.

If you breathe correctly, your mind will calm down. So do this short exercise to calm down quickly:

Take a deep breath, expanding your belly. Pause. Exhale very slowly to the count of five. Repeat four times. Congratulations. You’ve just calmed your nervous system.

Teaching Young People

“Are you creative? I bet you’ll say yes in an hour.”

The favorite part of my job is being able to teach young people what I’ve learned. I gave a talk at last hobit, a vocational fair that helps young people decide whether or what to study and another talk for high school graduates. It’s so great to hear them say “One hour ago I thought I’m not creative”. Contact me if you want me to talk about collaborative, fun creativity methods to school children around you!

I try to imagine my life in 30 years and I really don’t ever want me to say this sentence. This quote is influencing my life most profoundly at the moment. Purely powerful!
