Hi friends,

this one is purely about meditation. Enjoy!

Learn To See Your Thoughts

There are two things to remember in life:
Take care of your thoughts when you are alone and
take care of your words when you are with people

The best way to take care of your thoughts is to meditate. But why is this simple exercise of sitting quietly so powerful to recognize how badly we treat ourselves with our thoughts? Read on…

Mindfulness expert and the author of the most popular meditation app Headspace Andy Puddicombe describes in this video the transformative power of doing nothing. The way he presents the idea of recognizing anger is fantastic. Thank you Heidi for sending me this link!

Brain Changes After Minutes

Is there any scientific research on meditation? A lot! See below how the leading meditation researcher Richard J. Davidson explains what science is telling us about the benefits of meditation practice.

There are changes in three parts of the brain after just 8 minutes of meditating!

The biggest tested advantages of meditation are: a dramatically improved attention, the ability to let things go — also known as resilience — and the decrease of suffering. Wow!

Learn to Face Difficulties

Here’s another resilience exercise. It’s important to learn how to face difficulties. You want to come back from difficult situations not just to where your were before but stronger. Your lives will end up being better.

Easy Meditation Exercise To Start With

You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes a day.

Unless you’re too busy, then you should meditate for an hour.

So whenever you can’t focus on important things, or more importantly whenever you’re in a difficult situation and can’t let go your thoughts, spend just a few minutes breathing out very slowly through your nose. Now try to identify at least five sounds around you. That’s it.

This already will change your day.

Have fun meditating, and remember you cannot fail. The appearing thoughts are a necessary part of the meditation exercise.
Just come back to the sounds around you.

Have a great balanced and relaxed weekend,

Adam
