Hello you creative people,

Here are my 5 Friday finds, a list of what I’m enjoying, reading or trying out

How Long Does It Take to Send a Package?

How long do you think do people at Amazon spend to manually put the things you ordered into the package and make it ready for delivery?

Amazon only spends 60 seconds of human labor on your package!
Almost every step is already automated. See how it works here:

Is Airplane Poop Really Falling Down on Us?

Airplanes Have A Surprisingly Advanced System To Deal With Poop.
You might recall stories of blue ice falling from the sky and smashing into houses. Are they true?

It’s one of life’s great questions — what happens when you flush the toilet on a plane ?

Sleep Aid — Fall Asleep Faster and Sleep Better

You might remember all the sleep hacks I sent two weeks ago.
Here’s another hack to fall asleep faster and to sleep through the night.

Tim Ferriss did an experiment where 8 of 10 people reacted like this:

“I’ve been doing it for about six days now. I sleep through the night.
I can quantifiably tell you that in the morning I am sharper, I get more work done, I am better rested, and I feel a thousand percent better. One. Thousand. Percent. I’m going with this formula: take a cup of hot water mixed with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of honey. It’s tasty, it’s really tasty, you wouldn’t think vinegar and honey would be great but it almost tastes like an apple cider. And, plus, the hot liquid just before I went to bed, just knocked me out. I fell asleep immediately. I’ve always had problems waking up five or six times in the middle of the night. I have slept through the night ever since I started this.”

Genetically Modified People Aren’t Fantasy Anymore

Do you know CRISPR? You should. This is the technology to create designer babys, not in 10–20 years but now!
Paul Knoepfler asks in this great TED: “What will you do if all the neighborhood kids are genetically upgraded, will you still want to stay “natural” and let your kid suffer?”

Creating genetically modified people is no longer a science fiction fantasy; it’s a likely future scenario. Biologist Paul Knoepfler estimates that within fifteen years, scientists could use the gene editing technology CRISPR to make certain “upgrades” to human embryos — from altering physical appearances to eliminating the risk of diseases.

Quote to Put on The Wall

Do you permanently fear you could lose something in your life? This helps:

“Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know
to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.”
Steve Jobs

Enjoy the current moment and sleep well tonight, all!

Adam
